Here at the End of the World

ba004

Here at the end of the world
We will take the front seat;
Not somewhere in the back
Like a coward.

I'm here at the edge,
Here at the end of the world.
I'm seeing first smoke,
I don't know what it means, yet.

Here at the end of the world
I will be the first to jump in,
I'm ready, my lord,
For God's kingdom to come.

But first we will suffer
Here at the end of the world,
If necessary, we'll die,
Resurrection's not far.

“Here at the end of the world”
I write.
People distracted with life,
They would rather not know.

Here at the end of the world
People's hearts ooze a darkness,
Like a carbon black ink.
I dip pen in, and write.

Here at the end of the world
Send me a letter
With the thoughts of one God.
Here the sky are darkening,
Here at the end of the world.
